De buitenkant van de kokosnoot lijkt een beetje op het gezicht van een aap, coco in het Portugees, vandaar de naam. De bladeren van de boom vallen af, maar het bladvoet blijft zitten wat de stam maakt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kokos werking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kokos heeft een aantal werkingen op het lichaam. Het werk ontstekingsremmend, antibacterieel en antiviraal. Verder is kokos goed voor cholesterol en stimuleert de opname van voedingsstoffen doordat het juiste aminozuren bevat. Ten slotte, draagt kokos bij aan afslanken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Werkzame stoffen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kokos bevat een aantal vitamines, te weten: pro-vitamine A, vitamine B1, vitamine B2, vitamine B3, vitamine B5, vitamine B6, vitamine B11, vitamine B12, vitamine C, vitamine D, vitamine E, en vitamine K.
